Motus Humanus celebrates the contributions of mature professionals by conferring Lifetime Achievement Awards. Recipients have included:

• Warren Lamb, developer of Movement Pattern Analysis
• Ann Hutchinson Guest, developer of Labanotation
• Geraldine Stephenson, 50 years as an independent choreographer for British theatre, film, and television
• Irmgard Bartenieff, the late creator of Bartenieff Fundamentals

Contemporary leadership in the field is also recognized through the election of members to the level of distinguished Fellow. These leaders demonstrate advanced training in and substantial and original contributions to the field commonly known as Laban movement studies, including Laban Movement Analysis, Bartenieff Fundamentals, Labanotation, Movement Pattern Analysis, Kestenberg Movement Profile, and similar applied studies that clearly reveal derivation from the work of Rudolf Laban.
