Motus Humanus provides many opportunities for members to develop through interactions with colleagues and leaders in the field of Laban-based movement studies. Generally, one major event is planned for each year.

Advanced Seminars taught by nationally and internationally known faculty provide continuing education for Laban-based movement specialists.

Roundtables on Professional Issues are intimate conferences organized around a theme and held in a resort or college setting. Programs incorporate movement workshops along with formal presentations, discussions, social events, and informal opportunities for professional networking.

Occasional events are also held. These include special gatherings, such as focus groups, book signings, and regional gatherings, that bring smaller segments of the membership together, either around a particular topic or in a special area of the country.
